Origin of Shilajit: A treasure of the mountains

According to Sushita SamhitaOne of the founding texts of Ayurveda, Shilajit would be a natural substance that oozes mountain rocks under the effect of strong heat. It could be a latex or resin resulting from plant decomposition over the centuries. However, its exact origins still remain partially mysterious and are the subject of complementary scientific research.

Known as "the black gold of the Himalayas", Shilajit is particularly popular for its exceptional rich in minerals, trace elements (Iron, calcium, copper, zinc, magnesium, manganese, molibdène, potassium...) and in Fulvic acid, a compound with multiple benefits.

Fulvic acid concentration depends on its harvest region and environmental conditions. Shilajit harvested in the Kumaon area, India, is the most focused with a rate of 21.4%, compared with 15.4 to 19% for harvesting from Nepal, Pakistan or Russia.

Purification process: for optimal quality

In gross, shilajit can contain impurities and contaminants. This is why a rigorous purification process is essential to guarantee its quality and benefits. Here are the main steps:

  • Harvest in high altitude

Shilajit is collected in several thousand meters above sea level, in the Himalayas, during periods of heavy heat, which make the resin more accessible.

  • Preparation of the decoction of triphala

A solution to Triphala Kwatha (Ayurvedic infusion) and lukewarm water is used to start the decontamination process.

  • Decomposition of stones

The rocks are immersed for 24 hours, allowing the resin to soften and naturally detach solid elements.

  • First filtration

The large impurities are eliminated by first filtration, which makes it possible to refine the texture of the resin.

  • Decantation and final filtration

A series of additional decantations and filtrations makes it possible to obtain a clean, denser and homogeneous resin, called Shudhikaran.

  • Soft cooking

The resin is then slowly heated at low temperatures to reduce moisture, while preserving its active nutrients.

  • Laboratory controls

Each batch of Shilajit is tested in the laboratory to ensure its quality and safety. Our analyzes guarantee the absence of heavy metals. Certificates are available in the ancillary documents.

Directions for use

  • 1 spoon 2 times a day during meals. Dissolve in a liquid liquid (water, milk, tea or other drink).  The luxury of the liquid makes it possible to facilitate the dissolution of the resin and activate the nutrients.
  • The shilajit resin can also consume by sublingual absorption to directly reach the bloodstream.

  • Morning: to be in shape all day
  • Evening: 2 hours before going to bed to improve the quality of sleep

CAUTION: If you have worn the measuring spoon (small stainless steel spatula) to the mouth absolutely the wash (with soap) before overhead, to avoid bacterial contamination.

Contraindications

An increase in the uric acid rate would appear to be observed in some people. This is why shilajit is not recommended in case of high uric acid or drop.

Shilajit is not recommended for individuals with high ferritin.

The shilajit being acidic it can be irritating for people who have sensitive stomach.
