What is lithothamne?
It is a powder obtained naturally from a calcified red seaweed (Lithothamnion Calcareum), rich in minerals and especially calcium. This seaweed lives in the ocean seabed North Atlantic, up to 28 meters deep, where currents are less important.
How is such a wealth of minerals possible?
This seaweed only makes the most of the environment in which it lives! Indeed, during its growth, this alga is impeded from its environment and focuses in calcium, magnesium and many trace elements of its environment.
