N-acetylcysteine (NAC) is a sulfur amino acid. More specifically, it is the acetylated shape of the cysteine amino acid.

It is obtained during a 6-step process, with a fermentation of different protein-rich seeds that make it possible to obtain the cystine which will then be transformed into n-acetyl cysteine (NAC).
