What does spirulina naturally contain?
Spirulina has a varied nutritional profile. In addition to its plant protein content, it naturally contains pigments, vitamins and minerals.
Its pigments include phycocyanin, responsible for its blue colour, chlorophyll and carotenoids, notably beta-carotene.
It also contains naturally occurring iron, as well as various B vitamins. The amounts of these nutrients depend in particular on the growing conditions and the raw material.
