Shark liver oil
A naturally rich source of alkylglycerols
Shark liver oil is traditionally used in Scandinavia and stands out in particular for its high concentration of alkylglycerols (AKG). A shark’s liver can account for up to 25% of the animal’s body weight.
AKG are lipids that are naturally present in the human body, in much smaller quantities. They are found in particular in the membranes of certain cells.
