The Perilla, an ally for your respiratory tract
Perilla is an aromatic plant of the lamiacea family, cultivated in East Asia where it is used in cooking and traditional medicine. It comes in varieties with green or purple leaves, the latter is often called Shiso. All parts of the plant can be consumed or used for their properties: leaves, stems and seeds. Its chemical composition is particularly rich, including essential oils (including perilladehyde), flavonoids such as luteolin or apigenin, phenolic acids such as rosmarinic acid, as well as a forte Omega-3 content (alpha-linolenic acid).
The Perilla participates in the normal operation of the respiratory tract. That's why she fits perfectly with the formulation of our ALR PEA product.
In the ALR PEA product we use a concentrated perilla seed extract 6 times (6: 1), i.e., it takes 6 kg of seeds to get 1 kg of concentrated extract.
