Dr. Jacob’s® Vitamin K2D3 combines long-chain vitamin K2 (menaquinone-7 or MK-7) and vitamin D3 in MCT oil derived from coconut.
Each drop provides 50 µg of vitamin K2 and 25 µg of vitamin D3 (1000 IU): an ideal formula for anyone looking for a high intake of vitamin K2.

Why higher doses of vitamin K2?
As we age, the body is often exposed to particular circumstances and our vitamin K requirements increase.
Dr. Jacob’s® Vitamin K2D3 contains long-chain vitamin K2 (MK-7), which offers particularly good bioavailability and a long half-life in the body. Vitamin K2 has a half-life of around 3 days, roughly 50 times longer than that of conventional vitamin K1 (around 1 to 2 hours).
As a result, vitamin K2 can reach effective blood levels and act throughout the body.

With 50 µg of K2 to 25 µg of D3 per drop, Vitamin K2D3 stands out from conventional D3 + K2 formulas, which provide more vitamin D3 than vitamin K2.
Vitamin D3
90% of the population do not have good vitamin D3 levels
When sunlight is weak, the body’s own vitamin D production and dietary intake are generally not sufficient. As a result, only 10% of the Belgian and French population have a vitamin D level above 75 nmol/l (or 30 ng/ml), which experts consider to be good.

Maintain your muscles
After the age of 60, falls become more frequent. A daily intake of 20 µg (800 IU) of vitamin D from all sources contributes to the maintenance of normal muscle function, and vitamin D helps to reduce the risk of falling associated with postural instability and muscle weakness. Falling is a risk factor for bone fractures among men and women 60 years of age and older.
Dr. Jacob’s® Vitamin K2D3 contains 25 µg (1000 IU) of vitamin D3 per drop. If needed, a higher dose of vitamin D may be useful.

Vitamin D3 and vitamin K2 work together in the maintenance of normal bones: they ensure that calcium is stored in the bones.
Vitamin K2 contributes to normal blood clotting by enabling the formation of clotting and anti-clotting factors.
