An amino acid abundant in collagen
Glycine is found in many of the body's proteins. It plays a particularly important part in the structure of collagen.
Around one third of the amino acids in collagen are glycine. Collagen is a protein naturally abundant in various tissues of the body, including the skin, bones, tendons and cartilage.
100% glycine, no excipients
A deliberately simple formula made solely of glycine, with 2.5 g per serving and up to 10 g per day.
Glycine: much more than a component of collagen
The body can produce glycine itself from other amino acids, notably serine. It is generally regarded as a conditionally essential amino acid.
Glycine is also found in the blood, muscles and various organs, as well as in small amounts in the nervous system.
It is also a component of molecules naturally present in the body, such as glutathione and creatine.
A naturally sweet taste… without being a sugar
Glycine has a naturally mild, sweet flavour. Yet it is not a sugar but an amino acid.
Its taste makes it easy to add to water or food. It can be stirred into a drink, a yoghurt or fromage frais, for example.
This feature also means it can be used instead of your usual sugar in certain recipes.
