Magnesium plays an essential role in the body, but not all forms of magnesium are equal . Magnesium bisglycinate is a chelated form that is particularly valued for its bioavailability and its good digestive tolerance.
At NATURAMedicatrix, we have selected a genuine 100% chelated bisglycinate, without non-chelated magnesium oxide and without excipients.
A pure formula
Genuine magnesium bisglycinate
Not every product labelled “magnesium bisglycinate” necessarily has the same composition.
100% chelated
A formula made of 100% magnesium bisglycinate, with no added non-chelated magnesium oxide.
50 mg per capsule
Each 500 mg capsule provides 50 mg of elemental magnesium.
No excipients
A deliberately simple formula: magnesium bisglycinate and a vegetable capsule.
Pure bisglycinate naturally contains around 10% elemental magnesium. Yet some products sold as bisglycinate claim levels close to 20%.
Such a concentration is not compatible with 100% pure bisglycinate and usually indicates the presence of another form of magnesium, in particular non-chelated magnesium oxide. Our formula, by contrast, is standardised to 10% elemental magnesium.

What does “without oxide” mean?
Some products sold as bisglycinate also contain cheaper non-chelated magnesium oxide to boost the stated magnesium content. Our bisglycinate is 100% chelated, with no added oxide: it is standardised to 10% elemental magnesium, the content of pure bisglycinate.
How should I take magnesium bisglycinate?
Adults: 6 capsules a day, i.e. 300 mg of magnesium (80% of the reference intakes (RI)). Children aged 12: 5 capsules; children aged 8: 3 capsules. Take with water during meals, split into 2 or 3 doses.
Bisglycinate, citrate, oxide: what is the difference?
These are different forms of magnesium, bound to different molecules. In bisglycinate, magnesium is bound to glycine, which makes it a chelated form. To compare the different forms, see our magnesium guide.
